  • This will be an experiential workshop to give you a taste of what it is like to explore your creative side and how it can be helpful in therapy.  We will look at ways to identify creative resources that you already have and how they can be used in therapy.

Building Blocks are educational classes for adults (18+) looking for practical ways to create positive change in every area of life. A licensed therapist will present the latest research on a given topic and will provide participants with different skills and techniques that can be easily integrated into everyday life. Each group has room for 8-10 adults. Coffee, tea, and snacks provided.

Learning the Language of Body Acceptance

Building Blocks are educational classes for adults (18+) looking for practical ways to create positive change in every area of life. A licensed therapist will present the latest research on a given topic and will provide participants with different skills and techniques that can be easily integrated into everyday life. Each group has room for 8-10 adults. Coffee, tea, and snacks provided. 

Join Vanessa Van Dyke, LPC, as she creates a space for women to start the year off differently!  This special building block will be 3 hours long versus the normal 2.

  •  Name the body shame that so easily entangles women's sense of themselves.

  •  Confront the myths surrounding weight, size, and health.

  •  Engage a new conversation that separates weight and size from worthiness and beauty.

  •  Explore what body acceptance can look like regardless of weight and size.

  •  Create space for each participant to give expression to her own journey with weight, body image, and the impacts of culture on her sense of self.
