Terry has a Master’s degree in Community Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Terry has worked in the behavioral health field for over 20 years, gaining experience in a wide range of mental health care agencies. He has had the privilege of working with the homeless populations in both Phoenix and San Diego. He has also gathered significant experience as a case manager working with chronically mentally ill adults in Arizona, California, and Hawaii. As co-founders of Journeys, he and his wife, Roxane, are committed to developing a connected team of therapists and seek to offer an emotionally safe place for clients to process difficult issues. Terry loves to share his humbling experiences and clinical knowledge with the clients he sees at Journeys.
Humility and vulnerability are Terry’s favorite words, and he recognizes how difficult it is to develop these qualities, especially in relationships. He loves to help individuals see their larger potential and avoid destructive patterns by helping them stay rooted in these principles. Terry works with individuals, couples and groups. Terry enjoys working with men who struggle with disconnection in their relationships, couples in distress, and teens who might need to talk to someone other than their parents. He assists individuals who are facing addictions of all kinds and practices being direct in a kind and graceful manner.
