Creating Resilience to Shame

  • Journeys Counseling Center 6515 S. Rural Road, Suite 101 Tempe, AZ 85283 USA (map)

Building Blocks are educational classes for adults (18+) looking for practical ways to create positive change in every area of life. A licensed therapist will present the latest research on a given topic and will provide participants with different skills and techniques that can be easily integrated into everyday life. Each group has room for 8-10 adults. Coffee, tea, and snacks provided.

Life’s challenges can be exhausting and our current coping strategies can be overwhelmed. When looking for ways to get unstuck, it can be helpful to learn and practice new skills. Journeys Counseling Center invites you to Building Blocks: a cost-effective psychoeducational group workshop designed for those looking for a way to refuel and recalibrate.

Shame is the painful feeling of believing we are flawed and unworthy of belonging. On Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Vanessa Van Dyke, MA, LPC will talk about how to create a safe connection with others by building shame resilience and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable.

Topics of Discussion:
