Michael graduated from Ottawa University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and took additional coursework to receive a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. He also received a Graduate Diploma in Christian Counseling from Phoenix Seminary. Michael’s bachelor’s and master’s degrees are in electrical engineering where he worked for several years before embarking on a career change. Currently, he holds two licenses through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners: as a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and the other as a Licensed Associate Counselor. Michael completed his internship at Chrysalis which provided a unique opportunity to work with male and female domestic violence offenders court-ordered for treatment.
Michael’s training as a Marriage and Family Therapist cultivated a passion in helping individuals and families enhance the relationships that are most important to them. He has worked with a variety of clients from a variety of ages, and ethnicity groups. Michael specializes in men’s issues, couples counseling, and integrating the client’s faith in their treatment. He also has worked with a variety of clients who have just felt “stuck” in life.
