Paul graduated from Phoenix Seminary with his Doctorate in Ministry. Paul’s doctoral work included a dissertation entitled a Christian Response to Internet Pornography, and his masters and undergraduate degrees are in divinity and biblical studies. Paul has been in full-time ministry for over 30 years and currently directs a ministry for those in the second half of life at one of the Valley’s largest churches. Journeys is pleased to have Paul offer pastoral counsel and spiritual guidance to clients desiring this element of care.
We have found the need in our community for clients to safely discuss spiritual issues with someone who has expertise in this area. Having someone provide this service in a safe and confidential setting has been an exciting step for Journeys. Because of Paul’s unique role in spiritual direction and pastoral care, insurance companies will not reimburse clients for these sessions, as it is not considered mental health care. Therefore, Paul has adjusted his fees accordingly, making his services more affordable for the average client.
Paul is particularly passionate about helping clients find hope and spiritual direction in times of difficulty and loss, guiding people in healing after being hurt in a church setting, giving pastoral counsel and biblical insight for marriage and relationship issues, guiding couples in their preparation for marriage, helping men establish new patterns in their sexual behavior, and helping facilitate groups.
